Boat is Iain Oughtred design, Shearwater. LOA is 3.6m, beam is 1.5m, draught a few inches. It is a plywood lapstrake construction, made last summer. (2021) Quality Hoop pine was used, sheathed inside and out. Solid larch transom, extra reinforced. Huon pine grab rails. Jarrah coamings and gunwhales.
“Amber Moon” was built as a lightweight fishing boat for inshore or river use. Fitout included some modifications to suit…a flat floor, foredeck and coamings, extra strong transom.
6HP 4 stroke mercury, new 2021. Est 10 Hours running time. Internal and auxiliary fuel tanks.
